The second things was the door to our room had been poorly installed and one could see into the room through the 3/8" crack between the lower part of the door and its frame. According to the desk clerk, this problem has been known for a number of years, but not corrected.
The first one was that the off-on switch on one of the bedside lamps had been left dangling out of its housing. When I reached out to turn on the light in the dark, I unknowingly pushed the exposed switch so that the electrical wires made contact with the metal of the light, shorted out with a huge flash of light and tripped the electrical breaker causing all of the power to go out in our room. Had I actually touched the exposed wiring myself, I would have received a tremendous shock if not worse.
We spent the night of September 28, 2017 in this facility. It is an older but nice facility and in a good location. Unfortunately two things made our stay here troubling at best.
I wrote to the manager detailing what had happened to us. I didn't want and didn't ask for anything, but wanted to let them know of our concerns. I was not going to write this review, but since I have not received any response to date from the hotel management to even acknowledge my letter, it seems evident that management is not all that concerned and thus warrants my posting this.
The stay was amazing! The room was clean,well kept, and smelt delightful! The pool was clean and very big for a hotel. The morning breakfast was fantastic! And the staff was very helpful and nice.
It's a decent place to stay. I've never had any real problems. Rooms have been clean and the staff has always been professional. Recommended.
The rooms are comfortable with the idea of having a great stay in a home away from home. Clean and a welcoming environment that encourages a relaxing day, weekend while you're there to take care of the business at hand. Thanks again for your help and taking care of the other stuff so we could enjoy our stay.
I want to say first that the staff is very friendly and happy to help. The beds are comfortable and the room is very clean. The breakfast was better than expected. I only gave 3 stars as I was not completely satisfied with everything. The pool is closed during my stay, I don't know why. I looked forward to enjoying the hot tub. When I reserved I was told the pool area was available. I was disappointed. The plumbing doesn't work well and the wifi is difficult.
In fairness to the facility, we enjoyed our meal in the dining room and the hotel otherwise met our expectation.
