This place is awesome. Other reviews I have read say this place is not a final destination which is kinda true because you can walk through the whole thing pretty quick. But it is definitely cool to see. On the info board in the parking lot they post a scavenger hunt to look for the different formations that look like specific objects which is cool. It's a fun place to take kids and dogs to go and explore. Make sure you have written directions for how to drive out of there. We got lost getting out taking all the oil field roads with no service or gps.
The most amazing photo location I've visited, and I've visited a lot. The stone features look more artificial than natural. The features look fantastic at any time of day, but they're greyish, so the color is best at sunrise or sunset. Absolutely worth a visit if you're in the Vernal area.
Awesome rock formations. I feel it's a must see.
Really cool place. I recommend the evening to beat the heat and to get dramatic shadows. A camera is a must. The Rock formations are very unique. Best part is that it's super easy and pretty flat, so you can bring young kids.
The rock formations are indeed fantastic, and it doesn't take much imagination to beats, monsters, and faces. But it's a long drive out of the way. On the other hand, we saw wild horses and problem antelope up close, and they weren't particularly skittish.
